With the medical school campus facing a 36-hour-long communications shutdown to install new fiber, PayneCrest used precision planning to complete the project and restore service in just 20 hours. After cutting the backbone cable, PayneCrest performed a surgical-like fusion splice involving 216 fiber strands destined for a new research building.
